Deysi Diaz
Bilingual Clinical Study Coordinator and International Medical Graduate from Honduras, dedicated to advancing research with compassion and care.
I am an International Medical Graduate from Honduras with hands-on experience in emergency medicine and surgical assistance.
In my home country, I cared for critically ill patients, led resuscitations, and assisted in all types of surgeries—experiences that have shaped not only my skills but also my deep sense of compassion for those in need.
Currently, I am building my career in the United States as a Clinical Study Coordinator, managing clinical trials while preparing for my USMLE Steps. I ensure protocol compliance, manage data, and foster clear, collaborative communication with sponsors.
My professional dream is to specialize in intensive care, combining my clinical foundation from Honduras with research and clinical experience in the U.S. I am bilingual in Spanish and English, the first physician in my family, and since I can remember, I have always known that medicine is my calling. My greatest inspiration comes from my family, and I find joy in practicing yoga, hiking through nature, exploring new places, and dancing—moments that keep me grounded and remind me of life beyond the hospital.
I believe every experience is a chance to grow, and my guiding principle remains Primum non nocere—first, do no harm.
