María del Pilar Sáenz Gallardo
Colombian Medical Assistant dedicated to compassionate patient care, with growing interests in oncology, neurology, and community service.
María del Pilar Sáenz Gallardo is a young Colombian woman passionate about science and the well-being of others.
Currently, she works as a Medical Assistant (MA) at the Emerson Clinic, where she supports the team with everything they need and ensures that every patient feels well cared for, and welcomed. “My goal is to provide warm, efficient, and humane care, creating an environment where each person feels at home.”
Throughout her training, she has taken various courses, including first aid, anatomy and physiology, chemical nomenclature, and others, which have reinforced her interest in health and science.
She is also passionate about community service. Her best experience was volunteering at Holly Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. This experience sparked a deep interest in oncology, although she is also deeply drawn to neurology.
