Silvia Roman

Bilingual Patient Recruiter at ECRI with 17 years of research experience, passionate about educating participants and advancing new treatments.

I am originally from Bolivia and have dedicated my career to helping advance medical research. For 17 years, I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator, supporting studies from start to finish.

Eight years ago, I found my true passion as a Clinical Research Patient Recruiter.

Being Bilingual in English and Spanish allows me to connect with people from many backgrounds, making it easier to explain studies and answer questions in a way that feels personal and clear.

Although recruitment can be challenging, I truly enjoy educating participants and guiding them through different protocols. One of my proudest moments is seeing a medication or vaccine we worked on become approved-it’s a reminder that our efforts make a real difference in people’s lives. Every study is a step toward better treatment, and I am grateful to be part of that journey.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling, baking and cooking traditional Bolivian food.
